FAQ:

Q: How do I install a tail pad?

Thoroughly clean and dry the deck of your board. Peel off the protective backing, position the pad carefully – the kick should align with the tail – and press firmly from the centre outward to remove any air bubbles. Allow at least 24 hours before surfing to ensure a strong bond.

Q: How do I know if this tail pad will fit my board?

Most tail pads fit a wide range of board tails. Check the specifications and compare with your board’s tail width. If in doubt, a slightly smaller pad is easier to trim than one that overhangs.

Care and maintenance:

  • Rinse with fresh water after use to remove salt and sand.

  • Clean periodically with mild soapy water; avoid petroleum-based solvents.

  • Check the adhesive edges regularly and re-glue any lifting sections with contact cement.
