More info

Ozone PowerPack Parawing is a compact stash and glide wing that gives you instant power to take off, smooth depower for the glide and super fast pack down.

Ozone PowerPack Parawing is a stash and glide wing developed for riders who want a simple way to get up on foil fast and then enjoy silent, unassisted glide. Launch the wing, feel the strong pull to lift onto foil, then pack it away in seconds and just surf the bumps, swells or waves. When you are ready for another run, open the wing, relaunch and repeat. It is a clean, minimalist way to ride that opens up a new style of foiling sessions.

The canopy uses a parachute inspired shape with a low aspect profile that generates efficient, grunty power to get you moving quickly. A short, clean bridle layout and a dedicated centre front line riser keep the wing sitting naturally in the power zone and make it easy to reach the canopy when you want to stash it. The ultra light, airtight double rip stop cloth with a special water shedding coating improves flying behaviour, relaunch and long term durability, while the refined bridle diameter and stiffness help reduce tangles and speed up pack down.

Who the PowerPack is for

The PowerPack is aimed at riders who already know how to handle a traction wing and want a dedicated tool for stash and glide riding. If you like the idea of using the wing mainly as a lift engine and spending most of the session gliding on foil with no drag in your hands, this is the system that makes it possible.

Because it is so light and simplified, the PowerPack is not the recommended choice for learning. Ozone suggests the Pocket Rocket range as a better platform for first steps and early progression, offering more upwind efficiency and a smoother, more forgiving power delivery.

How the PowerPack works

  • Strong pull to lift on foil: The large, single surface canopy captures a solid blast of wind so you can pop up on foil quickly with the right technique.
  • Wide depower and usable upwind angle: Once flying, the wing offers a wide depower range and decent upwind performance so you can get comfortably back to your starting point.
  • Less structure for faster stashing: Fewer ribs than the Pocket Rocket reduce weight, pack size and the time and care needed to fold the wing when you stash it.
  • Low aspect profile tuned for short bridles: The planform is optimised to work with a compact bridle, helping the wing sit deep enough in the window to give strong, predictable pull.
  • High performance fabric: The ultra light double rip stop canopy with special coating sheds water, improves the feel in the air and keeps performance consistent over time.

Bridle layout and pack down

The bridle system is a big part of what makes the PowerPack so practical on the water. Every detail is designed around fast pack down and clean relaunch.

  • Centre front line riser: Bringing the front lines together through the centre riser, without including the wingtip lines, reduces the load on your hands and lets you grab the canopy easily when you want to pack it away.
  • Smooth front line coating: The new bridle material and coating make it comfortable to slide your hands up and down the lines without rash or snags.
  • Optimised diameter and stiffness: Line thickness and rigidity are tuned to resist tangling, helping you to get consistent, clean stashes and redeployments.
  • Spanwise bridge lines: Bridge lines across the underside of the canopy spread the load more evenly and avoid too much tension in one direction. This helps maintain the right billow and profile for stable power.
  • V shrink tabs on the trailing edge: Tabs on the trailing edge allow Ozone to use fewer brake lines while keeping tension balanced, simplifying the layout and supporting the rounded parachute shape that delivers the characteristic PowerPack lift.

Parawing Bow Bar – the right bar for stash and glide

To match the PowerPack, Ozone created the Parawing Bow Bar, a compact control bar designed specifically for stash and glide style riding.

  • Open, clean centre section: With no centre leader line, the Bow Bar gives you more freedom to move your hands, find a comfortable grip and adjust your stance and trim while you foil.
  • Progressive power control: The bow shaped control line manages the central bridle levels at a set ratio, helping to control the angle of attack of the whole canopy and giving a smooth, progressive feeling when you sheet in and out.
  • One bar size for all: A 36 centimetre length is chosen to work across the full size range, balancing compact pack size with precise steering and control.

PowerPack vs Pocket Rocket

PowerPack and Pocket Rocket share the same parawing DNA, but they are built for different riders and different ways of using the wing.

  • PowerPack: lighter overall, fewer ribs, shorter bridle and a design focus on stash and glide efficiency. It is ideal if you already know how to fly a parawing and you want maximum time gliding on foil with minimum gear in your hands.
  • Pocket Rocket: more structure, longer bridles and a design that flies further forward in the window for extra upwind performance. It is the better choice if you are starting with parawings or want a more all round, user friendly behaviour.

Recommended accessories

For the best experience, it makes sense to combine the PowerPack Parawing with the accessories designed around stash and glide foiling.

  • Fixed Loop Harness Lines: reduce arm fatigue and improve efficiency upwind and across the wind.
  • Stash Harness and Stash Belt: carry the wing comfortably while you glide or paddle, keeping the pack ultra compact against your body.
  • Ozone Mission Pack: a technical backpack that can hold up to two backup wings, a hydration bladder, phone and safety gear. A smart option for long downwinders or as a rescue parawing carrier for wing foilers.
  • Safety and comfort items: fixed loop harness line, swivel leash line, waist strap, wrist strap and leash quick release.

Care and maintenance

Rinse the wing with fresh water after salt water sessions, let it dry completely and store it loosely packed in a cool, dry place out of direct sun. Avoid dragging the canopy on rough surfaces and do not leave it flapping in strong wind on the beach. Check the bridle, connection points and bar hardware regularly so the wing stays reliable session after session.
