Taylor and Dan Mann developed the TJP with slightly more aggressive bottom contours and a touch more kick in the tail than the stock 900R. The TJP will go vertical while still maximizing the fun of cruising on a longer board. This is Taylor Jensen's go-to board for competition, and has taken him to
This is Taylor Jensen's primary performance longboard model and longest running design in our line, designed by Dan Mann. This shape is meant for performance in good waves, from beach breaks to pointbreaks, it can do it all. This shape is about speed, power, flow, driving turns on rail, and going fast down the line during noserides.
Please check the product title and specifications — Firewire and Slater Designs fins are available in FCS, FCS II, and Futures configurations. Make sure your board's fin boxes match the fin system.
Insert the fin tab into the fin box and tighten the set screw finger-tight. Use the fin key provided or a standard fin key. Do not overtighten, as this can damage the fin box.
These fins are designed for performance surfing across a range of conditions. Larger fin templates provide more drive and hold in bigger, more powerful waves, while smaller templates offer increased speed and release in smaller surf.
Rinse fins with fresh water after each session. Store in a protective fin sock or case to avoid scratching. Inspect fins for cracks or chips before each session. Do not overtighten fin screws — finger-tight is sufficient.
